Overall I like this set of knee pads. They are soft, long and thick enough to protect most knees and elbows. My almost 2.5 year old daughter loves the color and pattern. Now when she rides her balance bike, she asks to put it on :) although she needs help to put it on. She wears them over sweatpants and sweatshirts to keep them in place. My only concern is the size. The product description did not include measurements for the width or length of the knee and elbow pads. I was concerned that small ones (1.5-3 years old) would be too tight for them and medium ones (3-7 years old) would be too loose. My daughter is about 37 inches tall and weighs about 32 pounds which is an average age of 3. I ordered both small (1.5-3 years) and medium (3-7 years) because I thought if the small one fits well she can use it now and the medium one when she is big. However, the small knee pad is too small for her. We couldn't even put it on our leg after starching. Medium knee pads and elbow pads are the right size for them. Medium gloves are a bit loose for them. I folded and sewed the fabric for the last finger so her pinky could peek out, but that didn't prevent her from holding the wheel grip. I have to send back the small set, sorry! (The free return is why I give this product 5 stars.) So I measured the width and length of the knee pad, elbow pad, and glove so you can choose the one that fits your child. Please note that these measurements are approximate. The material is soft and elastic, the dimensions change as the bend of the knee pad changes. Also, due to human sewing errors, the width of the left and right knee pads is (probably) not the same. So please don't be too critical with my measurements, thanks!
