Unlike other reviewers, I had no trouble building this myself. As another reviewer pointed out, it's extremely helpful to use a rubber mallet to ensure all parts are fully seated. It also helps make the cabinet more durable. Also, be careful when lowering the lid; I see if you do it quickly it can break. Since I did it slowly and carefully, I had no problems. Another thing to note are the small gaps at the bottom where the posts go to the stand. In terms of design, this would hardly be avoidable in this price range. Since the spiders in my basement tend to spin their webs on the ceiling, I hope they don't explore the bottom of the closet much to find 4 small holes. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase and look forward to taking my clothes from the closet to the basement for storage.
