I've always preferred a case with a belt clip to a simple protective case to carry in my pocket. Important features are the clip, how well the case holds and how easy it is to remove. I've had multiple cases of Aduro. The latest is the Galaxy S8+, obviously a bigger phone. The clip broke after a few months so I decided to try this encased model. I was the last to consider that when initially choosing a case for my new S8+. The only thing that initially made me want to choose another option was that it enters the case from the side, not the top. I prefer the phone in an upright position. So more comfortable to wear. I gave this prisoner a chance and it turned out to be a really good case. I'm not picky about my phone and have rarely, if ever, dropped my phone. If you're looking for a truly protective case that wraps around your phone, then this may not be for you. The body surrounding the phone is similar to what I'm used to. The design is such that it appears to be part of the phone and not just a case which makes the phone stand out more. It slides easily into the case and seems to be holding up well. It holds tighter when inserted from the top or short end of the case. I try to tilt it slightly so the phone is less likely to fall out. This has turned out to be a really good case so far. The clip is really strong and holds securely. The phone, like many snap-on cases, is stored face down in the case to protect the screen from damage. Some may ask or prefer to look outside. All it takes is a shortcut around a corner or something to break the screen. Even if this phone offered this feature, I wouldn't recommend it. Inserting the case from the side instead of the top takes some getting used to, but is becoming more adaptable. I'll give it 4 stars and after a while if it holds up and the clamp stays strong I'll come back and consider increasing the rating to 5. Overall, I'm happy with the design of the case.
