I bought it to test in a car and on a motorcycle. Beads are popular on bikes but expensive so I didn't want to lose money until I knew if I liked them. If you're on a fence, take action. They relieve the sit bones and ensure a small flow of air under the buttocks. You don't feel anything when you use them, so the experience is anticlimactic, but if you compare back to back, you'll feel pain without beads. For the car: The bungee works but makes it difficult to keep the beads centered. and balanced. It's ok, but I won't use them and will experiment with other options. The best thing about the car is that the air gets under your buttocks and keeps your feet from sweating. For the bike: the results are much more pronounced and I have yet to ride long enough to put the beads on for them to work great. They also make the seat wider which makes my hips more comfortable. The downside here is that if your pants are slippery (jeans are fine, still not great), you'll slide around in the seat a bit. I will consider adding a knee tank to improve grip. I don't use them below 50˚F; it's getting way too cold. The bungee works well for me here, but I'm sure my anal graspability will change the attachment to make it more consistent. For my own comparison, I ride a 2000 Bandit 600 and am 6'1".
