Inaccurate: Motor tools

Update: After 9 months and 3 uses, the sensor does not return to zero. I cannot recommend this meter more. Comes with a nice plastic pouch for storage when not in use.

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • Doubtful

I can't use it yet. good for engine tools

still having trouble finding the nipple that screws into the oil pressure sensor hole on the rear of the intake manifold on an LS2 Corvette engine. I don't think that's a problem with the set. Waiting for a new adapter kit (metric)

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • I have some nuances

It worked great. The hose was long enough for me.

I bought this to fix pressure problems in a Dodge gearbox. It worked great. The hose was long enough that I could control the pressure from the cabin while driving. It worked as I expected. In the future I will use to check the compression in the cylinders.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some bugs

Nice set but needs a case

Nice set with all the adapters I could need. Worked well and helped me diagnose the problem I was having. The set comes in a heavy duty plastic bag but it would be ideal if it came in a hard plastic case. Digging the needed fittings out of the bottom of a narrow pocket is very difficult, and the device is more difficult to store. Unless you're a transfer specialist, this is stored a lot more than it is used.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Factor set

The closest thing to your toolbox!

Bought to diagnose an oil light on a Chevy 67. 2 minutes and was assured it was just a bad switch and not a deeper engine problem. Comes with all different fittings to adapt to whatever you need. Highly recommended for any DIYer or professional. Something that will stay in your tool box for a lifetime. The included hose is long enough to be tightened so you can drive the car and read the pressure gauge.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not the best

Really good quality for the price

I needed this to help me with my first 4L60 (700R4) restoration, it was the best price I could find for this tool. Comes with several adapters to connect to the gearbox test port. I actually left it plugged in for a couple of weeks while I fixed some valve body issues. Having not used the more expensive ones, I'm not sure how this one compares, but I can say it did the job and I'm not sure I could have successfully recovered without it.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Value Option is the best in tools and gear

It works well but isn't that practical. The main issue with this item is that the gauge reads from 0 to 300psi and is not accurate below 20psi. Most cars run in the 40/50 psi range, so not in the middle of the range. I think 300psi is for transmissions. Also, it would be a lot easier to screw the hose into the block if there was a rotating or disconnecting element at the end. Rotating the entire assembly to screw it into the block is a bear (especially if access to the connector is difficult)…

Pros
  • It's great
Cons
  • Interchangeable

An inexpensive tool that serves its purpose.

This is a relatively inexpensive tool that does the job. I used it to check the line pressure on my 48RE transmission. It worked great. The manometer needle did not tremble, reacted immediately and did not leak. It comes with a small bag of adapters, most of which I'll probably never use, but it's good that they are. I suppose you can buy a pressure gauge, make a hose at your local hydraulic store and buy adapters if needed. It might save some money this way, but it's certainly handy to have…

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • No paint required
