Like any outdoor enthusiast, I have a lot of ground stakes. Some for sand, others for dense dirt. Some forged steel. Other aluminum. These are the best ultra light steaks for medium to hard soils. They are clearly not suitable for soft soil or sand. I stick them (instead of forcing them) all the way into the ground, leaving only a loop above the surface. I upgraded my hinges with lime green Dyneema NEW ENGLAND ROPES - 2.8mm Spyderline, 1200lbs. It wasn't easy pulling that heavier line through the Wetteye.
