As for pain relief - this product is GREAT! The very first time I used it, I had sooo much tension built up, and it felt so great that I watched a movie and used it for the full hour and a half of the movie on various parts of my back. The next day I was SORE - but it was that good kind of sore. The day after that, I felt so much better! So relaxed and just generally less tense. That alone makes this product so worth it, and I would recommend to anyone. As for longevity - also GREAT! I use this almost every day, and so far I haven't felt or noticed any decline in power, and have had no malfunctions.There's just one small but frustrating issue - the cable. The cable connects to another adapter only about 5-6 inches from the back of the massager - so the connection usually sits right behind my back, and many times when I move or shift, it disconnects and turns off. It happens AT LEAST once every time I sit down to use it. For an item that is for relaxation, it's not very relaxing to stop and turn around and re-connect it every so often. It seems like an oversight that could be easily fixed by the manufacturer by making the cable that comes out from the massager a bit longer.
