This rating refers to size xs of the Dog Helios Weather King coat. The lining of this coat is wonderful - like metal emergency blankets. It warmed my dog up like a little poodle pizza in New York this January. Underneath he wore light pajamas that allowed enough freedom of movement in the coat. The coat itself wasn't too stiff as winter pet clothing can be. This coat has a strong double zipper. This coat has a zipper closure at the back. So if your dog will stand there and pick him up while you dress him up, these are great clothing items for you. - There is a patch pocket for a dog harness (the pocket opens inside the garment where you can put the leash through) - The paws have velcro around the holes so they can be adjusted, in our case to fit more closely to the des Dog's leg to block the wind. The hood also has a drawstring around the neck for a better fit. - The color/aesthetics are beautiful. DON'T LIKE - The size seems odd. My dog is a 4.5 lb poodle mix (probably a Yorkie) with long legs. It is about 9 inches tall and 10 inches from neck to tail. When he wears this coat, his bum sticks out more than other Helios jackets/coats. I know he's not the wrong size as the rest of the clothes are quite baggy on him. The hood extends very far over the dog's head. The zipper runs along the back and hood of this coat in one line. I think the best design for this coat would be if part of the zipper ends at the collar of the coat and the hood has some buttons or buttons to adjust the closure for the dog. Otherwise, with this design, the dog can either wear a hood (and my dog doesn't fit) or not take it off since my dog wore it. (When the hood is fully closed, it's like my dog is in a tunnel.) - The coat has a zipper at the back, but has no buttons to temporarily close the coat while it's closed. If your dog doesn't stand still, dressing will be difficult. Other Helios coats have this temporary locking feature and it really helps my dog who thinks the game starts putting the coat on.
