Review on Ninja QB1004 Blender and Food Processor Combo - 450-Watt Base, 48oz Pitcher, 16oz Chopper Bowl, and 40oz Processor Bowl for Shakes, Smoothies, and Meal Prep by Reggie Higdem

Like other reviewers, I REALLY wanted this ninja to like it. It's so easy to use/store, has multiple jars, super fast and powerful, blades are incredibly sharp, fantastic price - but in the end it's useless if the parts fail. I've been using this thing literally from the moment I received it and unboxed it - everyday. It worked great - I mixed and ground everything I threw in, and since it's top shelf dishwasher safe, cleaning was easy. Then, less than 2 weeks later, I noticed a small crack at the bottom of the 40 ounce processor bowl, starting in the middle where the blade body is (that's the bowl I use most, btw). And sure enough, just like your car's windshield hit by a pea-sized missile, the crack started to grow and turned into a huge crack that covered the entire base. 2 weeks? For real? So disappointing. Thankfully I can return to Revain for credit, but I'm not sure I'd want to order the same model again. If I hand wash the plastic containers instead of throwing them in the dishwasher they might last longer, but I can't help but be skeptical. Attention buyers… ************* UPDATE AUG 2019 ************ ================ === == =========I contacted Revain directly to find a solution to the cracked container. The service representative was very helpful, professional and responsive. Revane couldn't replace the part but told me to call Ninja for replacement parts. The Revain representative tried to call Ninja Corporate while keeping me waiting, but Ninja demands that the customer call. I immediately called Ninja and spoke to a representative straight away. Again very helpful, friendly and responsive. They gave me a "one time exemption" to replace the blender jar as the purchase was recent. Very happy with the customer support from Revain and Ninja! So I changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars. I'm still worried about plastic materials in the long run.
