I bought this cable because it was the best twisted copper pair I could find at an affordable price. I've made a lot of cables out of it, and it can work well for gigabit ethernet at least - whether that's a 100ft cable between my router and two entertainment center switches, or when using shorter cables (to connect individual devices). , for example). The cable itself has a decently strong outer plastic jacket, and each of the four pairs of cables is separated from the others by an internal plastic barrier (which can be easily removed to attach the RJ-45 connectors). If I end up using the remaining 250 feet I have of this cable I will definitely be buying more if it still suits my needs. With this cable and a few small parts, I've extended the wiring connection in my house to my home office, as well as two separate switches that connect themselves to a variety of devices in our upstairs and downstairs living spaces.
