Good price easy to install

I bought this cable because it was the best twisted copper pair I could find at an affordable price. I've made a lot of cables out of it, and it can work well for gigabit ethernet at least - whether that's a 100ft cable between my router and two entertainment center switches, or when using shorter cables (to connect individual devices). , for example). It works fine for Gigabit, better than the old cables I had, but I can't comment on anything faster. The cable itself has a decently strong…

Excellent Cat6 cable

I bought this when the main description still listed it as a Cat6A riser when in fact it is a Cat6 cable and is claimed to exceed the Cat6 specs. The entire jacket of the cable is stamped "Cat 6 Plus 550MHz" but I don't think there is a "Cat 6 Plus" standard. I was going to return it as it's not actually a Cat6A cable but decided to keep it as I don't think I'll need 10G ethernet at the distances that Cat 6A will provide indoors for the foreseeable future. Also, it looks like they sell this…

Category 6 plus not 6A [updated]

LAUNCH NOTICE: This product is incorrectly advertised as 'Category 6a' which is the official standard. What I got was "category 6 plus", which is basically just the usual category 6, where "plus" is a meaningless term used by manufacturers to inflate the price without adding any value . Do not buy. UPDATE: Following my previous review, the company contacted me to explain their product and they also corrected the Revain page to remove "Cat 6A" from the product description. According to the…

Excellent quality wire at an affordable price

Excellent solid wire for making Ethernet cables. I've used about 400ft to four cameras using this for POE (Power over Ethernet) and it works great. The only as it is twisted with a protective core makes it a little tricky to separate the wires and how to attach them to the ends. This is the only problem I had.

Pure copper and excellent toughness.

I have used this cable for my whole house. It was very reliable and trouble free during the year it was installed. I would say this is the best cable under the $100 mark that meets my expectations. Its solid copper wiring makes a big difference to the copper-aluminum cladding.

Pros
  • Great overall quality
Cons
  • Sad packaging

The winner has been found! Ideal for installations.

As an installer I have dealt with various low voltage installations for the last 8 years and have bought tons of cables in bulk in my time. I don't normally leave reviews...but felt I should post...because this is actually a good cable that fits the specs. I originally bought this cable just for a weekend install and snapped a photo after checking the specs list which is why I returned to the site. I thought it was just a plain cable or it would end up being a CCA since there were no reviews…

Ideal for self-installation

I bought it to run Cat6 drops around the house. I ended up putting 1 in each bedroom (3) and 1 in the living room. Then I started 2 surveillance cameras outside and the cable is dead. I don't know if I got to 500 feet exactly or if my math was terrible. Good cables, I don't have much experience with other brands. I will be buying another box as I need to finish the other 2 cameras! I will update the review if I notice signal degradation over time.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Periodicity

Beware of knots tied about halfway down the roll. The rest is good.

Has worked well for networking in a new home. The only annoying thing is that they tie two knots on the wire about halfway through the box. Maybe so you know how much is left. I pulled these knots into the wall without realizing they were there and had to pull the wire out when it got stuck. You should not tie knots on the wire. Can be marked with ink.
