Review on Grey Collapsible Laundry Hamper with Magnetic Lid - Household Essentials 5620 by Melissa Walker

Assembled it's not as strong as I thought. The main issue is the bottom (below) which is just 4 thin pieces of fabric that stretch when opened when installed. I know that the manufacturer allows it to be folded for transport. But a better idea would be a firm flat tray [made from the same box material] to allow the box to stand up when opened. In the current design, the device is practically bottomless. The magnets don't work - the magnets in the top cover don't hold up, so the top doesn't "snap" into place. I suspect that the metal parts in the box are misaligned. But I should be able to glue the replacement to the top of the box. If I had bought it from a local store I would return it. [I have to say the basket looks great.] *edit* I bought a sheet of styrofoam insulation (like the stuff ice boxes are made of) and cut two pieces of 12"X14" (just 1/8 inch smaller ) and placed them at the bottom of both compartments coming from above so that the attached thin fabric "bottom" is underneath. Cook on gas now.
