Why does this thing have purple ends?
I think the standard color for this type of lug is yellow through orange to gold. It turns out that FosPower actually makes seemingly identical products in a matching color palette. At least they make correctly colored yellow to red/white Y-splitters. I've bought a lot of products from FosPower and they make quality stuff even if they cost more.
