I chose a 4" (4-1/4") hole to replace the standard lights that come with my new home were delivered.None of the stock lights had ANY markings or markings and we replaced 3 sets in 9 months under warranty at home.We managed to snag them at Prime Days this year at a very attractive price and they fit perfectly.They are clear brighter than the replaced bulbs (which of course still worked) and the hidden bracket was very attractive compared to the OEMs.We chose an oiled bronze as it matches the other lights we have for the pot stands and dining table -Added chandeliers Installation was easy as these units have quick connectors for three position cords in addition to the light itself.
