The concept is great but the reality was short lived. And that doesn't mean the designers did a bad job. This is actually a great working Bluetooth DAC. The problem became Bluetooth and your phone as the problem. When your phone is connected, all music, calls and apps are transferred via the phone's Bluetooth. So while listening to music from my phone in the backyard where Pandora is playing. I can get a text message, I open YouTube for a second because another friend sent me a video. The sound of a message, call, or video instantly picks up the speakers and interrupts the music streaming. There isn't a single way to easily play your music source unless the device is designed solely for music playback. Consider a dedicated tablet. It's not a bad design that I regret buying this DAC. But because I really needed (and sadly discontinued) Chromecast Audio. Maybe I'll be on eBay soon. But basically I want to stream audio via RCA or 3.5mm but still be able to use my phone for other audio that I don't want to play through my speakers. I just said Here are a few small points to note. You will enjoy the high throughput and APTX HD quality and up to 30 feet away. I have found that I have to be careful with large concrete walls limiting distance (I have a basement to my patio) and my mesh router is interfering with the 2.4GHz frequency. So I had to move it further away from the grate but closer to the door. I also found that sometimes I would accidentally stand up and bump into grass and my connection strength would quickly degrade causing the audio to drop out. I ended up leaving my phone on the chair. Long story short I'm going to get my Chromecast Audio and sell mine back to someone at Revain. For your health!
