I am a professional home and private chef and I also teach how to use knives. I take all my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items, other accessories and groceries very seriously. When I test and review culinary items, I am very critical and meticulous about rating and rating. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good... bad is bad! This metal dinnerware jug is large and durable. It has a handcrafted look and has a metallic sheen. It can hold MANY kitchen utensils such as mixing and serving spoons, whisks, etc. and definitely serves to control kitchen space. That being said, it's not aesthetically for every kitchen. In some cases this will really improve the atmosphere, in others it can look completely out of place in combination with other shelves, baskets and other items in the kitchen. It is well made and has a very solid construction with one caveat for those who may have misconceptions about its construction material. The title of the product page ends with "Big, Nickel". However, the true description of the shard is "Handcrafted from heavy gauge steel and zinc plated for a durable, luxurious finish." It's NOT nickel, in case that matters to you. Overall, I think this is a very useful kitchen accessory that will improve functionality and aesthetics, but seriously, it's not for everyone. I'm giving it a solid FOUR STARS, and for those who really like the look, I can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend them! It's about looks, not solid construction.
