Review on Godinger DUBLIN PLATE Clear Plate: Elegant and Versatile Dishware for Any Occasion by Bud Crabtree

We ordered this glass cake because two weeks before Christmas we broke off the bottom of our 30 year old domed cake stand. I was looking for something that would match my old dome. There also had to be a ledge or ledge to hold the dome. Some of them are flat and I've read reviews where the dome slides. This one was described as having a raised lip, and its "flat" part was 10 inches long. I was about to order it because my dome is 11 inches and I risked it fitting properly. To my surprise, the dome matches the new cake stand perfectly. And I could only be happier if it was made in Ireland. It is very sweet. Nicer than the ones we had. And the dome fitted best and was reliable. The person who broke the old one is very happy that we were able to get a replacement so quickly that we are satisfied. And we will not miss anything, because in two days it will be Christmas and the pastries will be on a stand with a dome cake. The only reason it only has 4 stars is because I was told it was made in China, which I try to avoid. However, I haven't confirmed that yet. Wherever it was made, I'm very happy with it. Edit: I'm changing my rating to 5 stars because I've thought about it and thought I shouldn't take stars off just because it wasn't made in Ireland when it's a very good piece for the money.
