I recently moved into a 7,000 foot house in Utah and had to climb a steep, narrow road to get to my new home. I only have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata front wheel drive. I bought Nito Snow Tires and they helped me with my daily driving, but in deep snow I still had trouble going up or down the road, my brakes/tires were still slipping on the ice. I originally bought the chains from Walmart and they were incredibly crappy and fell apart on the first use. My partner had these Peerless chains and he said to spend the money on quality chains - he was right. First, make sure you choose the right size for your tire by going to the Peerless website. I put them on for the first time yesterday and I highly recommend that you practice putting them on before a heavy snowfall. This was a bit tricky the first time, but once you've done it, everything will be fine. Losing weight is incredibly easy. The included instructions are helpful, but I'd rather have someone else install them. I still slid downhill, but not as much without the chains. My car is just a crappy winter car. I believe if you put them in a 4WD car they will be even more perfect. I felt safer with these chains.
