The silicone strap did irritate my skin and was a perfect alternative to the expensive Garmin metal strap which is 1/4 the price of the watch. I have a hard time finding fault with this other than that it's a bit fiddly to adjust the length as you need the right tool to open the adjustment. It's looser on the left side and I've switched hands a lot in my sleep so it's not permanent on my wrist, but since I've had this band it's no longer an irritation issue. how striking. High quality PVD coated knitted steel strap is thinner than silicone and has no edges to snag on clothing, which was a major issue for me when using silicone. The instructions were clear and after a few tweaks they became intuitive. In other reviews, comments that the watch fell off may not have secured it properly. There is a strong latch in the adjustment mechanism, once it snaps into the harness latches it will not fully lock if not in the latches and can slip off. The clasp feels very secure thanks to the triple clasp, hook and double clasp that folds over to prevent accidental opening. The first latch has been loosened once or twice, but it remains secure. Overall I'm very happy with it and would easily buy another to replace if mine breaks.
