It looks great and works very well, but it takes a lot of work to set it up properly.

Hardware: The screen quality is excellent and fits perfectly in the car. It's a bit thicker than the original but still looks good. The 2021 Corolla does not use the four 10mm screw mounts that attach to the factory radio, it only attaches with factory clips. It seems strong enough and doesn't seem to come loose under normal circumstances. I have concerns that it could fly out in an accident or how easy it would be to steal the device. In addition, the device did not come with an adapter to connect a standard USB plug, as stated in the description. You can order this connector separately. Call quality is terrible. You can hear others but my wife says I talk like a robot and it's hard to understand me through that. I've tried an internal mic, an external mic, and a good quality aftermarket mic and they all had the same issue. I ordered a bluetooth transmitter for the mic to see if i would go via bluetooth if that solved the problem. The radio reception is not as good as with the standard radio. The sound quality of the internal amplifier is as good if not better than the OEM head unit on standard speakers and offers great options and an interface to tweak the sound. The quality and frame rate of the OEM camera seem to be slightly worse, but for a rear camera it is satisfactory. Software: Comes with Android 10, quick response and responsive. You probably have to spend some time tweaking things to your liking, but this is Android. Tons of launchers, widgets and icon packs allow you to customize the interface to your liking. Unless you have a tethering plan or built-in WIFI, the functionality of the built-in Android is very limited. Lots of things like the Google Contacts app and Google Photos don't seem to sync/work on the device. Android Auto and Apple Car Play work perfectly. This connection uses the Z-Link app. Although Android Auto is only supported via a wired connection, my Galaxy S21 also works wirelessly. (Bonus) Sometimes the Z-Link connection drops and you lose Android Auto/Car Play. It seems to happen most often with a wired connection. Furthermore, when connected via Bluetooth Android Auto keeps trying to start which can be frustrating as it interrupts the display or other music playing on the main device. You may also need to remap your steering wheel controls in the software. My track skip buttons were flipped and I had to remap everything except the volume buttons. Also, your HVAC information is displayed on the screen when you set up climate control, showing if the door is open and not matching the vehicle's lighting colors. These items do not appear to be configurable on the stock ROM.

Pros
  • Car electronics
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
