I love this book! My 4 year old daughter loves this book! I'm stuck during the pandemic as many parents trying to be educators for these hapless under 5s, distance learning is a foreign concept. Before the pandemic, my daughter attended full-time preschool for about 4 months. We started late with her but as soon as we had baby number 2 in August 2019 and I had no more help around the house we decided that it was best for her to go to preschools/kindergartens. She has excelled! A quick note on why this is so important to us, our daughter had a speech delay and was also very hyperactive so we came in early and helped each other up until her third birthday. After that she didn't get any more help but was still late, being in preschool helped but not much. Then when she was quarantined at home with just me and my 6 month old baby, studying became an issue. I had to adapt and learn from their wonderful teachers who called daily to extend their "lap time", eventually that time expired when they were given permission to open. My husband and I decided we didn't want to risk our daughter, so I started looking for something that would entertain and educate her. My sister in law actually recommended this book as she bought it for my 2 year old. old nephew who has autism. She was thrilled that my nephew now knew all his colors and letters (my nephew barely had 5 words in his vocabulary). My daughter already knew all of their colors, letters, opposites, weather, numbers 1-20 and comparisons, but what she didn't know was the solar system. Now she knows all her planets! Now it's part of our morning routine. She happily takes them all out and basically repeats everything she already knows as she slides them back in. Basically what I'm saying is that if you're like me and your child already knows these things, there's no harm in repetition. Kids are people too and can't often be forgotten or confused, so repetition never hurt anyone! We have also started using it with our 18 month old baby! He loves too!
