I think you get what you pay for. These are VERY cheap scissors. They try to spread out and are quite short. So if you want the pattern to repeat, you need to be careful what you cut. They are not sharp enough to cut material.

APPLICATIONS - Cut out pictures, photos, paper, postcards to form a zigzag pattern for scrapbook, scrapbook, journal, notepad, planner, bookmark, greeting card or other DIY projects.
