Available variable ND; not compatible with lens hoods

This is an affordable soft ND filter. It spins smoothly and I didn't notice any cross or stripe patterns. Much more convenient than changing fixed ND filters. This results in a slight loss of resolution that can be corrected in post-processing software. The main disadvantage is the incompatibility with threaded filter hoods. This caused me problems when taking photos in the midday sun. I would rate it higher if I knew about the blend that works with this filter.

Pros
  • WIDE COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with all lenses with 67mm front filter thread including: Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO; Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-300 F/4.5-5.6; Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6; Canon EF-S 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 STM
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
