I bought this instrument for its easy to read display in low light, compact size and overall accuracy. If you're looking for a LAB class instrument, this probably isn't what you're looking for. If you are looking for a flow meter for troubleshooting in the field, this flow meter will fit. I've used it in the field for several months with no problems, it does the job. If you drop it or it gets stolen, no big deal. I've been using Flukes and Simpsons for years, they're great but a bit prohibitively expensive. I bought a small pouch at a camera store for less than $14 that fits both the meter and cables. Very easy to read in dark places. Much luck.
