actually improves performance

I didn't want to switch to USB-C a few years ago when Apple first introduced it in the MacBook. Last year I collapsed because I use a lot of peripherals (mechanical keyboard, multiple external monitors, USB mice, external hard drives, etc.) and switch computers and locations frequently. I bought a few other hubs looking for a deal, but they had similar issues - not good resolution through monitors, not being able to power each USB hub, and/or lagging/poor keyboard and mouse performance . Heard Anker is a good name so I broke after a few failed hubs. The Anker Hub worked flawlessly out of the box on both the Dell XPS 15 and MacBook Pro. There are high resolution monitors (actual resolution depends on the specs of your monitors) that run at 60Hz. The only thing I could have gotten easier back then is three USB 3.0 ports instead of an SD reader, but that's not Anker's fault as I'm sure a lot of people need this reader. I had a small problem and the support team solved it immediately. I highly recommend this as a productivity tool that is of better quality than other brands with similar offerings.
