This headboard is great because my daughter keeps banging her head on the wall while she sleeps. I'm glad there are plenty of pillows on the headboard. The reason she keeps banging her head against the wall is because she doesn't have a bed frame. It only has a mattress and a spring core. I like it because the floor under the bed frame doesn't collect dust. This headboard consists of 4 rectangular sections. To mount them you need to screw them to the back of the headboard. Two people are not required to attach 2 headboards together. However, two people are required to connect the 4 headboards together after the 2 headboards are assembled. It also requires two people to hang this headboard on the wall as one person cannot lift these 4 attached headboard sections. The attached sections are too fragile for a person to pick up in the middle. This is one of the reasons for 4 stars. The back of this headboard is very raw. Shards are everywhere. The wood must be cleaned to avoid splinters. I had a thorn before. The male. It's no fun removing a splinter. I strongly recommend using gloves when working with this headboard. This is another reason for 4 stars.
