At first I was very happy with these shoes. They feel great out of the box and fit like a glove. First impressions from walking around the neighborhood were good. Comfortable, airy and very light. Traction is EXCELLENT on dry ground and even better in wet/slippery conditions. The main downside is the glue they use on the bottom to hold the sole in place. It hasn't even been two days. First day of tubing in Frio. Very calm water and virtually no rocks to climb or dodge. Shoes have been soaked in water all day. On day two, walk through Lost Maples State Park. That's when the shoes literally started to fall apart. Pieces of the sole started peeling off in the first kilometer and it only got worse after that. When I came back to change the shoes, they were completely destroyed. I REALLY wanted to like these shoes. He ticked all the right boxes on first impressions. I think the glue they use doesn't really stand up to being submerged in water for long periods of time. Which is awful considering they are advertised as water and hiking shoes. I hope they fix that in Gen II.
