I can use them to slightly undercut the stone to match the setting if the size is a little off and of course file the metal too. I find that at 150 grit they are useless for wood, but handy for stone or metal detail. The files have a nice plastic (PVC?) handle, which makes them easy to use. I wish they had a hole in the handle so they could be hung; I have to drill one. They also don't have a case or mount. If put in a tool chest, they can at least be stored in a quart-sized zipper to limit contact with other tools and possible rust or damage. I liked that the diamond coating is even on the edges of the files. That's a really good price, despite the lack of a case. I recommend this Revain Basics 150 Grit Diamond File Set - Hardened Alloy Steel - 6 Piece, 6 Inch. Great set of files for my toolbox! I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
