** 6 month review below ** Chair has been in use for a week with more than 8 hours of daily use. Not the best, but not the worst chair I've ever had either. Basically, I like the chair. At this price there isn't much to complain about. I was more concerned that the materials would be cheap, like plastic, but it's pretty durable. It's quite comfortable when properly seated.-=-=-=-=-=-=-Here's a detailed review: - Seat cushion (2/5 stars): Seat cushion is not very good - if you don't sit down always correct, an unusual sitting posture is uncomfortable (e.g. sitting on your feet). If you happen to be sitting at the middle or front end of a chair and your tailbone usually hurts, you will most likely get it with this chair. After receiving the chair, within an hour of use, the foam is already crumpled and does not fully return to its original shape. After a few days, even after several hours of inactivity, I can feel the unevenness of the seat. I'm pretty sure it's gone forever now. I bought a seat cushion to combat this problem. For comparison, I'm 150 pounds and I'm 5'10". The seat pad is about 1.5 cm thick, you can feel the bottom panel slightly. - Armrests (4/5 stars): These were solid and worked great when I first time using them. However, due to the lever mechanism, the nut holding the hand may loosen if you move your hand up and down frequently. I have found that it happens more on one side than the other. I removed my hand and tightened the nut but this only temporarily solved the problem. After moving my hand a few times the nut would loosen again causing the lever to just fall off and sway.Lock washers (washers with uneven/curved ends) The washer shouldn't be larger than 7/8" (outer diameter). The inner diameter of the washer should be 3/8". Remove the lever from the chair and unscrew the nut. . Leave the existing washer in place and put the lock washer on top and then the new washer. Grams. Die Order should be as follows: washer > lock washer > flat washer > hex nut on lever through bolt Now I can move my arm all the time and it never loosens or wobbles However the manufacturer is aware of this issue and to the best of their knowledge and belief they will fix it So please reach out to them if you're having this issue if you find my fix isn't working After my issue was fixed I found the hand to be pretty solid The mechanism that allows the arm to rotate , is limited by the plastic that makes up the chair (if you take the arm apart you'll see what I mean). is pretty solid, but I wouldn't put all my weight on my arm. Who knows, maybe he can handle it, but I don't want to risk it. Mesh back/lumbar support (4/5 stars): I have nothing to complain about. It's handy if you have your back to him. But I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. There is almost no lumbar support, I don't even feel it. So if you really need lumbar support, this may not be the best chair for you. - Hydraulic cylinder (5/5 stars): So far (within a week of use) I haven't had any problems with it. The chair shrinks very slightly when you sit on it, but nothing significant. But I know that I will most likely only see problems later. So I'll try to update this after more use. - Customer service (5/5 stars): Before repairing the arm myself, I contacted them about this and they responded fairly quickly (within a few hours). Pretty professional and diligent in making sure my issue was resolved and offered a few fixes. So if you have any problems with your chair I don't hesitate to contact them to see how they can help. Can I recommend it or buy it again at this price ($139.99)? Yes _____________________________ 6 month review (1000+ hours of use): Everything was fine with the fixed arm suggested above. There are no problems with him at all, he does not move and does not get lost. It was one of the biggest things I was afraid of. Most of the chairs I bought wobbled a lot after a while and couldn't hold themselves up. So glad it hasn't had this problem yet. The hydraulic cylinder still works great. Doesn't creak when tilting back and forth or when turning. So far I'm happy with this chair! Would still recommend.__________ Update 8 months in: General use. The chair will start to creak and make a little noise as you rock back and forth. The back mesh is a bit loose now, but that's okay. Hydraulics work as usual.
