For the price these chairs are of excellent quality. Are they the chicest, trendiest style? no But they are elegant, timeless and go with almost everything. They are very durable and I haven't seen any signs of wear yet. The frame is metal so you can punch. The seat is softer so as long as my cats don't scratch it (not yet thank god) it will last. I bought 6 a few years ago when we realized our old set was crap and just wouldn't last long and they worked so well we bought 4 more (now we have a bigger table). I expect the frame to last a very, very long time, and I'll probably reupholster the seats when they start to wear out (although this will apparently take a while).
