Review on Medium Mermaid Dog Life Jacket - Adjustable Floatation Pet Outfit for Swimming, ๐Ÿพ Boating, and Water Activities - Handle, Ripstop Material - Doggy Lifesaver at Pool or Beach by Viswanath Lopez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fit my oddly proportioned mer dog

Super cute. Seems durable. Two paragraphs below in my review; First size, second functionality. **As a disclaimer** I don't know what is required or if there are requirements for canine lifejackets as well as human lifejackets. Those are just my thoughts on the vest. This is the only one I've ever bought. **Too long, didn't read below.** My dog is a bit clumsy for the size. Her chest is 19, her neck fits a small size, 9 inches or so, and her length. Since the size chart says to go one size up, that's exactly what I did. medium bought. The neck strap almost had to be the shortest, and I also had to squeeze her breasts a bit. The length was perfect. I was able to make it snug and secure around her despite the uncomfortable 4/5 sizing because I can't confirm for sure if it actually works as a life jacket. It's definitely filled with some fine padding that provides buoyancy, but is that enough for a 15-pound dog? I can not say. She didn't go down with us without her, although I'm sure it made the swim less intense for her. I feel like it's more like a grown man using a pool noodle or two rather than a matching life jacket for it. TLDR: probably better for looks than functionality. Will it save your dog from drowning? I do not know. My dog can swim without one, but she doesn't swim much. It seemed to help her in the same way some pool noodles can help a grown man.

Pros
  • 3. Adjustable nylon straps, quick release buckles and a strong magic sticker attachment system around the belly and neck all these features give your dog enough room to grow into this life jacket and wear it or it will greater;
Cons
