not sure. I use it to talk to zoom and teach dance. I hold it as far from the laptop as the cable will reach and stand on a small table. I turn the volume on it to 90% and the volume on the laptop to 46%. Or it makes an annoying hiss. I stand back a few feet to dance. With these settings, my music sounds good (I play it outside), it's comfortable to listen to, but my voice is very quiet. When I'm not playing music, I sound loud enough. I was looking for a microphone that could hear me speak loud enough while playing music.
