I have baseball style cloth work hats that after several months of wearing in hot weather have developed a foul odor from the band at the bottom of the hat. Before using Shout, there was always a lingering odor (my wife couldn't smell it, but I've always been an odor-sensitive person around the house). Cover the next day: the smell is gone! I'll start cleaning the rest asap. NOTE: If you have a burnt-in stain (due to washing and drying clothes and the stain is still there) you will need to use a Spray 'n Wash Pre Treat Stick - 3 oz instead.
