Installed and worked great until I noticed a hissing noise from my ignition coil and the coil got very hot and my radio stopped working. I turned off the light and everything went back to normal. The light comes on again, hisses, goes out, no noise. New ground and dedicated wires go straight from the battery to the light - same results. I don't have an oscilloscope, but my meter measured high frequency AC current in my car's circuitry. If the light was on, the light must have a switching power supply that is poorly filtered or shielded. I could try building my own chain filter, but until then I turned off the lights to avoid damaging the car.
