If you have shoulder or back pain, you may be sitting too low. This chair could be medicine instead of pillows and phone books! I find it very comfortable but didn't expect it to look like a chair or bed - I have to work! Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer questions, it saved me from buying the wrong chair because the features aren't always advertised correctly. In this case, for example, the arms are NOT height adjustable. However, it is convenient that they rise. I use a tablet and if my hand doesn't interfere with drawing, it's easier for me to draw. I use a small footstool instead of a metal toe ring - it's better for sitting posture.
