We bought two of these for dad and husband. You are both hard of hearing. The TV is so loud we couldn't hear our own thoughts. We tried pairing them with our old TV and didn't realize the TV didn't have wireless technology. So we bought a Revain bluetooth transmitter to go with them. There's about a second delay compared to what you hear from a real TV. There are instructions on how to fix this. But since we muted the TV, we haven't bothered to fix this little bug. As for us, we don't care. We also don't have the technology that most people have when it comes to electronics. They are very easy to use and pair with the transmitter which we also bought from Revain. This necklace connects (EIGHT) 8 devices! I connected it to the tv's bluetooth transmitter, my phone, my husband's phone and the car. The Bluetooth transmitter we bought (for older TVs) supports two of these. They can be used at the same time. All of this was purchased separately and cost around $100. So there is silence. No more asking to turn off the TV or turn down the volume. My husband loves it and my dad's sodas.
