Divider fits 1" PVC pipe inside tight. Be careful not to overtighten. I had torn one out of 4 at the joint when the seal slipped. So check inside to make sure the gasket is laying flat and then tighten it. Outside, standard PVC fittings are not suitable, only the fasteners included in the kit are applied to tighten. It would be better if there were 2 gaskets in the kit, one inside and one outside. So it won't expire. However, you can cut your own padding from sheets of neoprene. The product is not very well made in my opinion. A 1 3/4" hole cutter works well.
