Review on Mi Light Recessed Downlight Controlled Smartphone Industrial Electrical by Todd Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal! Works great for Milight and easy to mod for Hue.

Another reviewer is upset that no remote control is included. None of the Milights come with a remote control, it must be purchased separately. I bought it as the only RGB+CCT recessed light that seems to be available anywhere on the internet. I was hoping to change it to make it compatible with the tint. I'm happy to report that it's very easy to upgrade with an inexpensive Zigbee RGB + CCT controller. One is available here on Amazon and many are available on AliExpress or eBay. The actual light has RGB, cool white and warm white LEDs and is connected to the controller via a 6-wire cable. The lamp runs on 20V, although my controller outputs closer to 18V. Simply unplug the controller that came with this light and use a ZigBee controller instead. You need a 20V power supply, but you can also use the power supply of this included controller to power the ZigBee controller. If you want to use this lamp with the Milight ecosystem, it works great for that too. Connect the controller to AC power, then press the button on the remote control to add it to your system. For white, just press and hold the power button on the remote. To adjust the white color temperature use the speed up and down keys. Use the color wheel to adjust the color. You can also add some white light to a color by selecting the color you want and then using the speed buttons to increase or decrease the white light.
