The memory probably works fine on other systems but I have Bought this specifically for Dell Alienware R8 i7 9700K and I'm having the same issues as upgrading to a similar lower speed HyperX Fury set. The main problem right off the bat is random freezes after which all my monitors go black when the monitors turn back on after 4 seconds on 3 out of 4 monitors. Once the hanging happens I have to disconnect and reconnect the 4th monitor. The next problem is that the sound disappears and only comes back after a reboot. None of this will happen if you're using the ram that came with the system from Dell. I've tried both BIOS XMP profiles and each profile gives you a different problem. I'm writing all this because I know that many people want to upgrade their Alienware for a good price without shelling out an additional $300 on a Dell. The moral of the story is, build your own computer and use that memory, or buy an Alienware from Dell with the maximum memory upgrade and they'll be held responsible for any problems that arise.
