These plates are not designed to last forever. They are cheap but for the price I thought the quality was excellent. None of them broke or tore, although I found I had to be careful not to overload them because they're flimsy. I could put hot and cold food on it and easily carry it from room to room. After dinner I washed them with soap and water and put them in the dishwasher on the lowest setting. Now they are ready to use again next time. Hooray! I'm really looking forward to using them as cookie bowls at Christmas or bringing a dish to a dinner party without having to worry about them. One of my guests actually asked me for references because they did such a good job preparing a large group and bringing dinner to the table. Be careful and you can reuse them.
