Update: I bought a completely different amp (GE) and it did the same thing, so it's probably something in my setup that's preventing the amp from working until I find out I guess I won't be using an amp As another amp had the exact same symptoms it's likely this amp will work for someone else I've upgraded it to 3 stars for that reason Ok I did plugged it in. this "amplifier" to my TV with the power cord unplugged. I had the same signal as before. As soon as I plugged in power to the amp, the picture on the TV froze and I got the message "One week or no signal" on the TV. This happens at the lowest, medium and highest settings on the dial. I noticed that the instructions say that d I want the channels to be rescanned after plugging in, so I tried that as well. The TV came back with 0 channels found! So deleted and my TV signal is back to normal. broken, or they all behave like that, but I'll try a different amp.
