This was a simple replacement for the 4414 Sealed Beam on an old snowblower. The Tecumseh motor only supplies AC power to the headlight, approximately 13 VAC. I was concerned about the second photo above, which says only DC, even though the first photo says AC/DC. The unit I received was marked 12VDC like the second photo above, but there was no polarity marking on the connectors. So I tested it with car battery power first. It worked great both ways, drawing 0.85 amps DC at 14.3V DC when connected both ways. So I figured it would work well with the air conditioner from the snowblower. How it is. It was placed right where the old sealed beam was and measured 1.1 amps AC wide open throttle at the engine. It was a great upgrade with even, wide coverage and it's BRIGHT. I added a built in 2 amp fuse to protect the motor stator if something goes wrong.
