So my work computer is my laptop, and when I'm at home I prefer to plug it into my desktop monitor and rely on multi-channel peripherals, so switching between work and play was reasonably seamless. This is backstory. So I don't have a lot of experience with desktop monitors (this is my second monitor in about 3 years and before that I had a CRT attached to my Windows Vista desktop) so feel free to use whatever I can about image, size, etc. , well salted. However, I love this thing very much. It's a bit big for my tiny corner of the table, but it's great. The picture quality is excellent. I love playing videos on it, all those good things. In addition, the presence of two HDMI ports does not interfere with switching between screens. The bevel size is an improvement over my old monitor, but it has downsides. The buttons for the monitor are on the back, which is a design protocol that I hate and always have hated, but it's neither here nor there. My problem is that the markings on the front of the bevel showing which button is which are almost invisible. I can only see them if I move my body at a certain angle and look directly at them. So I prefer to go by feel and I usually get it right. Switching between screens could be easier and can't be done in less than three button presses. It's stable: I've only had a screen glitch once when switching between my desktop and laptop, and it's much easier to reset the connection when it's an HDMI cable rather than a DVI cable. In general, the cons are minor for me, but I think it's worth deducting a star. However, I would recommend this if you are looking for a cheap monitor.
