I bought these fuse adapters to install a dash cam on a 2016 Honda Accord. This kit comes with 4 different types of fuses. My car uses low profile mini fuses that are recessed or recessed into the car's fuse holes. These devices work like this: you remove an existing fuse and then plug it into the socket of the fuse you removed the fuse from. The existing fuse and the new fuse are plugged into the sockets on the adapter. Now that the fuses are recessed and this adapter is bulky, it cannot be fully inserted into the port from other surrounding fuses and will not make contact or secure in the port. For my DVR I need constant power and switchable power. Constant power is for parking mode operation. For constant power, I found an empty fuse port with no surrounding fuses and installed a low profile fuse in there that went all the way in, was snug, and made perfect contact. For switched power I had to use a mini-fuse instead of a low-profile fuse because the mini-fuse had longer blades and roughly the same dimensions as a low-profile fuse. The longer blades allow the fuse to enter the connector and make contact without being stopped by the surrounding fuses. The supplied fuses are cheap and fall apart with little pressure.
