This cobalt works well and has some nice features. However, one of the reasons I bought it was to use 12 volts. I couldn't connect to my Chevy Suburban, Dodge Truck, Hyundai, or Tractor. I went back and looked at the reviews again and found that some of the other reviewers had the same issue which I had previously overlooked. So I had to either send it back and start over or buy an adapter. I found an adapter that works but still fits snugly. If you only use 120 that's great but you may need an adapter for 12v. You can also get one in Lowes for a lot cheaper but I live far from Lowes. If the 12V connection was ok I would give it 5 stars.
