Not universal good if it fits
I bought this for a switch in my 2020 Ford F150. It doesn't fit very well and barely extends around the switch. Because there isn't much contact between the Velcro pieces, it sometimes falls off. I just stretch it around the switch as far as I can and tighten it again. It may fit some cars well, but the derailleur on Ford truck is too thick for this case. It is designed for switches with a thinner stem. This would make a very good switch housing for the cars it fits. It was inexpensive and protected the switch, so I'll keep using it until I find a better one.
