First, the vertical mouse is very comfortable and the buttons are in very convenient places. I like the forward and back buttons just above and below the thumb. The right, left, and scroll wheels are spaced apart and quite comfortable. At first it seemed like too much space, but now it feels more natural. On the other hand, the mouse places very high demands on the surface on which it is used. I have a gaming mouse pad and this mouse hardly stays on the mat and is very unstable. At first I thought it was a bad mouse (and probably still is) but then I tried it on a different surface and it responded as expected. I then tried several other surfaces, a bare table, paper and other colored fabrics. The mouse registers no movements. My Logitech mouse now works flawlessly on all surfaces. For the downloadable driver/software, you can adjust the mouse lighting scheme and the sensitivity/speed of movement. However, there is no way to customize the mouse for a specific surface. With the existing settings, I didn't really manage to improve performance at all. For me: Comfort - 5/5 Ease of use - 2/5
