I bought this switch for my sons based on info and reviews because his dad had his cord and I am giving it 3 stars because although it does charge its switch when it is direct plugged into it, but it won't charge it when plugged into the console used to connect the Switch to the TV. So I had to spend more money for a real Nintendo Switch charger. So if you need a charger for the same purpose to connect to this console, I don't recommend it. I ended up giving it to my mom so she could charge her phone.
