Looking for a few cheap flashlights just in case - it's always good to have a few on hand. The unit is good, much brighter than I expected, the narrow/wide beam slider setting works fine - my wife likes it best. I'm giving 4 stars for value, but it's important to note that the flashlight is a bit short if you have big hands like me, and as such the thumb control of the power button can be clunky. If you're looking for an EDC, that's great - if you're looking for a flashlight to keep close to your 'home defense', consider a flashlight that's maybe an inch longer to allow thumb control of the On/off switch is a little more "tactical". Otherwise these are great flashlights.
