Update 01/18/21: Just received my 3rd Vstarcam. I can't imagine owning any other brand right now. I bought one of the 720p Vstarcam cameras 2 years ago and installed it in my living room window so I can't use the night vision function due to the reflection. It turns out that all I really have to do is turn on the porch light and that's enough to see. I actually like it better because it stays in color, which can come in handy if you ever need to color-code a car. As I have a Vstar 720p camera, I bought several other brands and installed them side by side and found that not only were the others (which were said to be 1080p) inferior in image quality to the Vstarcam, but the last camera I bought was completely blacked out once the sun went down and useless without a bunch of IR LEDs blowing up the area. So I decided that from now on I will only buy VStarCams because I definitely don't want to use more than one app. but I haven't found another 1080p camera in this price range that comes close to this 720p either. When I ordered another camera a few days ago, ordering the Vstarcam 1080p was easy. Think, in the worst case, the quality will be the same or slightly better. After plugging it in, I immediately noticed a difference in video quality, but the real surprise came after the sun went down. If you look at the photos I've posted, both Vstarcam cameras, the darker image is 720p and the lighter image is the new 1080p and you can easily see the new camera is just amazing looking out my window look and night vision is not used. all of them. Two shots were taken after dark and the only light I have is my 60 watt LED patio light which isn't really bright. The 720p camera's darker image is more like how I see it from the outside with my own eyes, but the other camera is totally superior to anything I've tried. The camera works all night without night vision and is still in color. I know by looking at the screenshots it looks like there is some kind of IR but I promise you it's just the porch light and the streetlights and streetlights aren't nearly as bright as through this camera, just those Camera is an amazing sensor. So it's easy. I recommend anyone who wants to mount a camera in an outside window and still see everything clearly in color and not use night vision to buy these 1080p VstarCams. It's also worth noting that the software is way better than the software for other cameras I own and there is actually a different app for mobile and PC, which is nice because the PC app is like a pro system with a range really useful features looks like. excellent opportunities. Finally, the old camera I bought 2 years ago never worked with my Alexa Echo Show but to my surprise the new one works and I didn't have to jump through hoops to get it working as all the software is already for Vstar was configured. . Connecting the second camera was very easy and quick, since my phone, PC and Alexa Show were already set up for that brand, all I had to do was connect it, open the camera Android app and scan the image. barcode. and voila! Did!
